Fourteen members from Benton CrossFit aged from 15 to 53 entered the Two Eleven CrossFit Games at Menangle Racecourse. Twelve of the them in teams of three and two competing as individuals.
The event comprised of six workouts including rowing running, bale pushing, burpees, toes to bar and various weightlifting moves. Jess Cooper, Caitlin Danyi and Lauren Leeanne came first in the advanced women’s division, while Luke Ross, Craig Horne and Tyler Hickey finished first in the advanced men’s contest. Another team comprising Shelley Twydle, Holly Furness and Lauren Napier ended the day in equal first in the women’s open division.
A fourth, over 40s team, made up of Glenn Diggle, Gordon Cole and Andrew Mevissen, finished equal fifth in the open men’s division. Meanwhile Benton CrossFit members Jarrad Schmidt and Luke Norton finished ninth and 12th respectively in the individual open men’s competition.
