Club members, family and friends gathered at the Tourist Road Oval in Glenquarry for a family BBQ and presentation where junior players were presented with their team photos and awards.
Club President Glenn Flemming thanked coaches, managers, players and parents for their contribution to a successful season.
Special mention was given to the club’s junior coordinator Denise Horvath for her commitment to the club and the sport.
Mittagong Hockey Club sponsor/volunteer Janelle Menzies said the presentation was all about recognition.
It was just mostly a celebration for the end of the season, and recognising the contributions of volunteers, players and coaches.

“It was just mostly a celebration for the end of the season, and recognising the contributions of volunteers, players and coaches,” she said.
Menzies said the club had many successes throughout the season, including 15 junior teams.
“They had a fabulous group of volunteers, encouraging junior umpires and activities,” she said.
“[The junior players] are all fantastic. They’re all lovely kids.”
Menzies said it was a special moment to recognise club person of the year Mel Strachan.
