Publicity coordinator Kate Berry said the event was a success. “It will be an annual event. As we progress, we want more riders,” Berry said. “We’re looking forward to hosting events that are bigger and better.”
The event featured a horse show for novice and open riders as well as a ‘funkhana’ event designed for those with little or no show experience.
The main show rings hosted classes including led and Ridden pony, galloway and hack, led and ridden show hunter, junior and senior riders, smartest on parade and championship and supreme championships.
The funkhana had competitions that were a little less serious with categories including the pony with the prettiest mane, fancy dress, leading rein and cleanest pony.
