While everything is still being set up, a smoking ceremony was held on Monday morning at the new premises.
Peter Swain performed the ceremony as part of the service’s new beginning.
Those present took part in the ceremony and along with Mr Swain cleansed the new premises.
Both buildings and the outside areas were cleansed.
WFSS was previously located at Bowral but had to move after the land was sold.
It is now a 1A Crimea Street, Balaclava.
It will continue to provide support services, food relief, case management, advocacy, court support, supported and social playgroups including culturally appropriate Aboriginal playgroups for the whole of the shire.
Access to increased counselling services such as Oddessy House, drug and alcohol, psychological support services and youth support and advocacy are also available.
