A film showcasing Mittagong's best and most famous attractions has received a highly commended in a nation-wide competition.
Ozan Fikri of Highlands TV entered the QantasLink Spirit Magazine My Town competition with a short film about Mittagong and earned a place as one of nine finalists.
From there, the film was awarded a highly commended.
The film starred Jennifer White from Destination Southern Highlands and took viewers on a visual tour of places like Fitzroy Inn, Mount Gibraltar and The Shaggy Cow in just one minute.
Both Ms White and Mr Fikri live in Mittagong and know the area well which was why the chose to feature that town.
Although Mr Fikri’s video didn’t win the competition, Mittagong’s best sights were showcased in front of a national audience on Qantas’ social media accounts.
The competition was judged Rockhampton author Anna Daniels, Qantas Magazine and Travel Insider’s Editor in Chief, Kirsten Galliott, and film and television director Simon J. Heath.
