Known as Billie Jo by listeners, she has hosted ‘Country Cheer’ from 1pm to 4pm every Tuesday for the past 30 years.
On, Monday, September 25 the Highland FM team celebrated her success and dedication to Highland FM.
She had a dedicated following not just here in the Highlands but in Queensland, in South Australia and Victoria as well.
As well as serving on the board of Highland FM for six years, she has also raised nearly $30,000 through the unique design of her show.
In the second hour of Country Cheer, Billie Jo would take song requests – $10 to play your artist of choice.
All of that money has gone back into the volunteer-run community radio station.
