The mother and daughter played together in the first grade hockey grand final at Welby Hockey Centre on September 16.
Amanda said when the two hit the field, the dynamics of the duo changed.
“Lucy is definitely a better player on the field, it’s the only time she tells me what to do,” Nash said.
“That’s the beauty of Moss Vale [Hockey Club], it’s a family club and they encourage older and younger players to get together.
“The fact that she’s so young, it’s a testament to her passion and commitment.”
Lucy, who was the youngest person on her team, said she had enjoyed the grand final game and the overall season in the senior ranks.
“I just love playing and making new friends,” Nash said.
