Claims made by Dr Ian Wright that Berrima Colliery has been polluting the Wingecarribee River will be addressed at the September 27 council meeting.
A Notice of Motion brought forward at the September 13 meeting sought support to ask Dr Wright to speak about his report prior to the next meeting.
The motion was passed and Boral has also been invited to make a presentation.
Boral will respond to the invitation this week.
As part of the motion, councillors also voted to acknowledge the water quality impact of the proposed Hume Coal mine report prepared by Wright in relation to possible identified impacts upon the Wingecarribee River.
Members of the public will be able to attend the presentation which will begin from 2.30pm.
