Emergency Services renewed their search for missing woman, Kathleen Lidden on Tuesday, September 19.
Chief inspector Jason Horne said about 30 emergency service personnel began searching on Tuesday morning.
“We have four teams of SES volunteers and police out searching and we have a police dog with one team,” he said.
Inspector Horne said the search was not sparked by new information.
“We are just going back over the low probability areas west of Mittagong and across to the Hume Highway,” he said.
“We are hoping to get a PolAir helicopter here [on Tuesday afternoon] to go over Nattai River.”
The focus of this search will be on areas of bushland near Lake Alexander and the Nattai River that have not previously been able to be accessed by foot in previous search operations. These areas are considered to have a low probability of attendance by Mrs Lidden, however are still within the overall search ground area.
Inspector Horne said the search was expected to go for two two days.
“Depending on the terrain and the weather we may also go into Thursday.”
Kathleen Lidden, a mother of five from Mittagong, was last seen on Tuesday, June 13.
Kathleen was last seen about 12.30pm on June 13 at Mittagong Shopping Village on Pioneer Street, where she was captured on CCTV footage.
Kathleen Lidden was last seen wearing a white scarf, yellow/cream coloured fleece jumper, grey track pants and carrying a brown bag.
