Athena Vibert, 50, has been charged with dangerous driving resulting in the death of Julie Bullock and her seven-year-old son. Mrs Vibert was not present at Picton Local Court on Tuesday, and was represented by her lawyer Tony Venditti.

Mrs Bullock, 49, and her son were killed when their Mazda four-wheel-drive collided head-on with Mrs Vibert's Holden Astra, after she allegedly crossed the median strip on the Hume Highway near Pheasants Nest on March 7.

Mrs Bullock was driving her twins to school about 8am when the crash occurred.

Her seven-year-old son was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition but died later that day. His twin sister survived the crash, but was hospitalised with head and chest injuries.

Mrs Vibert was also seriously injured in the crash.

Outside court on Tuesday, Mrs Bullock's husband Darren told the media, that the deaths had "taken a toll" on the family.

He said it was frustrating that no one from the defendant's side, except for the solicitor, was in court."We have had no sympathy off the family that we think caused the accident," Mr Bullock said."We still don't know actually what happened, we haven't been told anything.

"Nothing is going to bring them back. [We want] closure more than anything. We just want to know what happened for their sake."

Mrs Vibert has also been charged with driving occasioning grievous bodily harm in relation to the injured girl, negligent driving and driving on the dividing strip.

On Tuesday, Mr Venditti did not enter a plea on Mrs Vibert's behalf and applied for an adjournment. The matter will now be heard on Tuesday, November 14 at Picton Court House.
