‘Disaster’ not ‘upgrade’
The Wingecarribee Council’s plan to “upgrade” Station Street is moving forward. Instead of “upgrade”, I would call it a “disaster” if it goes ahead. It would destroy the centre of Bowral.

They plan to make the street four lanes wide so wiping out parking at the railway station plus more (pity about the commuters to Sydney/Canberra), a whole bunch of trees and businesses.
This for the case of diverting trucks and excess traffic away from Bong Bong Street. Sure. Instead council, what about diverting said traffic, which don’t wish to visit the centre of Bowral, up/down a widened Eridge Park Road and the Old South Road as a by-pass away from our centre.
Council needs to look further into the future as one can only imagine what the traffic will be like in 10 years. Council’s plan for Station Street will be available this Wednesday until September 18 then a public meeting straight after.
Please save out town and attend. Go to www.yoursaywingecarribee.com.au/SSU for council’s proposal. Also www.highlandsmatters.org.au/ if you wish to join a group of concerned residents.

Consider the psychology of women
I have been interested psychiatry for some time now. Perhaps you may have some interest yourself due to the fact that there is an increase of mental illness in society.
It occurred to me the leaders within this field, the majority have been male. Due to this reason, and believing there was a level of subjectivity within these studies as I do, perhaps these studies only have a limited value. Women need to have a completely different area of psychiatry pertaining to themselves.
You, maybe, are shocked. Freud and Jung could be discounted by women purely because they were male. I am suggesting that they viewed life from a male perspective. Male and female have different perspectives due to their different hormones. Questions arise such as why has God blessed women with the role of child bearing and breastfeeding and completely different hormones which affect mental states?
So I conclude on this note: perhaps more study should ne given to the psychology of women, not a science based on a male’s interpretation of this subject.
