The Spuddies will take on Warragamba in a cup game at 1pm, and the Bundanoon Highlanders at 2.30pm in a shield game on Saturday, August 12.
Spuddies coach and captain Aaron de Jagger said the ultimate prize for the shield game was the opportunity to play in the semi-finals.
“We’ve won our last three games so we’ve come good towards the end of the season,” de Jagger said. “It’s always a big game and a close match.” De Jagger said while the team had some tough competition, they were confident.
“We’re certainly moving in the right direction [towards the semi-finals],” he said.
Spuddies captain and coach Aaron Ditton said a win in the cup match was the team’s ticket to the minor premiers. “We’re working on our defence this week,” he said. “We just didn’t play very well [last time], we didn’t use our possession.“Our ability to score points, we’ve been really good.” The games will be held at Bundanoon Oval.
