Ms Harvey presented excerpts from the Alice-Miranda series to a captivated audience of Bundanoon, Wingello and Penrose primary school students.
Bundanoon Public School librarian Janine McPherson said the children were very excited to meet their favourite author.
“A lot of the girls said they had butterflies [meeting Jacqueline],” she said.
“She acted out different things and she was very entertaining.”
Ms Harvey also introduced the children to her latest book Alice-Miranda Holds the Key.
Ms McPherson said the children had a lot of questions for the popular author.
“She spoke about when she was at school, she never met an author and thought they were locked away in country cottages in the United Kingdom,” she said.
“She said if she’d met an author, she would’ve considered it as a career path.
“It really does inspire them to see her.”
