Most of the girls teams played at home for the resumption of play.
The netballers were all played at the college, and in a day of mixed results, the Junior B, C and D teams were winners in their matches against St Spyridon.
The Firsts and Seconds were also winners.
In the Firsts match against Redlands the Chevalier girls started well and maintained momentum throughout the match.
Chevalier’s best were Steff Lockett, Jaimie Thompson and Georgia Baron.
It was an icy start for the Firsts hockey girls, who played against Barker College.
The girls dominated the game from start to finish and ended up 4-0 winners.
Goals came from April Hamilton (2), Lucy Knowles and Emily Eustace.
The seconds played well as a team and scored a 3-0 win.
The juniors had a couple of very close matches against Central Coast with the As drawing 1-1 and the Bs scraping home with a 1-0 win.
In the tennis, the Chevalier A team had a convincing 8 sets to 0 win against Oxley with Daniel Wylie named as the star performer.
Harry Lewis was Chevalier’s best for the B tennis team who played at Richmond.
The junior girls soccer teams played Oxley at home and both teams were winners in good close local derbies.
The only boys team to play on Saturday at Chevalier were the 15B soccer boys against St Pius X.
They had a confidence boosting 1-0 win with Jarrod Abbott the goalscorer.
The travelling boys soccer teams had a tough day out at St Pat’s with only the 15s and 16s getting on the scoresheet.
It was a busy day for Chevalier’s defenders and goalkeepers.
The girls had a similar experience at St Andrews.
The Inters had pleasing results with Annabell Hall (2) and Zoe Newton the Chev’ scorers in a 3-2 win.
The rugby boys at St Andrews had a big day out.
There were good wins for the 13s and 14s against tough opposition.
The 15s were defeated by just one point and the firsts finished on top after scoring a late flurry of points.
It was a strong return to the season for Chevalier College.
