Singalong
A singalong will be held at Mittagong Uniting Church on July 24 from 1.30pm. The church is located at 4 -7 Albert Street, Mittagong, and Charles Dunk will provide entertainment for the July gathering. Large print song books are available and afternoon tea will be available. Energy info session
Two free information sessions will be held in Bowral on July 25. The events will help those who have solar and are interested in batteries and households that do not have solar power system installed, but are interested in either solar and/or batteries. Birdlife meeting
Members of the public are invited to join Birdlife Southern Highlands as they are given a sneak preview of a new map showing the distribution of the New Holland Honeyeater across the Wingecarribee Shire. They will also hear about the work that has gone into its creation at the information session on July 25. This will be at East Bowral Community Centre at 7.30pm. CWA meeting
The Mittagong Branch of CWA will hold its monthly meeting and its International Day on July 26 at the rooms in Winifred West Park, Mittagong. The activities will kick off with a meeting from midday followed by lunch at 1pm which will cost $8 per person.The International Day formalities will start after lunch. The country of study this year is Nepal and there will be a guest speaker, artifacts on display and a power point presentation. School children's books and posters will also be on display. Frock up and rock up
The BDCU fundraiser Frock Up and Rock Up will be held at Centennial Vineyards on July 28 from 7pm. There will be fortune tellers, a caricaturist, silent auction, raffle and the John Field Band will perform. Tickets $120. RSVP by July 21 on 4861 8701.
Moss Vale CWA
Moss Vale CWA will hold its monthly meeting on July 28 at the branch rooms at 66 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale. Doors will open at 12.45pm for a 1pm start. Blue Light disco
The next Mittagong Blue Light Disco will be held at Mittagong RSL on July 29 for children four to 14 years of age. $5 per child. It will run from 4-6.30pm. Parents and children under three free.
Bushwalk
Southern Highlands Bushwalkers Inc will trek from Glenbrook Gorge to the Nepean River on July 30. This is classed as a difficult walk with steep sections. There will be canyons and views along the gorge including the railway tunnel as well as some rock hopping and river crossings. Details: Greg on 0419 330 908.
Child support meeting

First Fleeters
The Fellowship of First Fleeters Southern Highlands Chapter will meet next on August 9 from 10.30am. There will be a short AGM followed by the monthly meeting. The topic of discussion will be Chapter Chats with short talks by chapter members. The meeting will be held at Mittagong Community Centre on the corner of Albert Lane and Queen Street, Mittagong.
