The Highlanders defeated the Bargo Bunnies 32-8 in round 11 at Appin Park on July 15.
The Bunnies were first to score early in the first half, but it didn’t take long for Bundanoon to hit back.
Bundanoon captain/coach Chris Conquest said it was a slow start for his side.
“Our ball control and defence was bit poor in the first half,” he said.
However the Highlander still led 16-4 at half time.
The second half was stronger for Bundanoon, but Conquest said they still didn’t perform at their best.
“In patches it was a bit better but were still a bit sluggish,” he said.
“We weren’t fully happy with we performed but we still won comfortably.”
Blake Conquest and Isaac Martin were named as players of the match.
“Blake is doing extremely well this season especially considering this his first year of football at this level,” Conquest said.
With four rounds left before finals the coach said it was time to step up.
“We need to change our attitude and hang on to the ball a bit better,” he said.
“Once we get into finals there won’t be any complacency and we should go pretty far.”
Bundanoon will have a break next week before facing off against Picton on July 29.
