Telling friends and neighbours about great service or products is one way to do it, but a truly helpful way to thank an outstanding business is to nominate them for an award.
The publicity that follows being a finalist or winner provides exposure throughout the community that can boost their business.
Time is running out to nominate outstanding businesses in the 2017 Southern Highlands Local Business Awards.
Nominations close on Tuesday, July 25.
Everyone who nominates a business will be in the running to win a GoPro Hero5 Black.
Precedent Productions Managing Director and awards founder, Steve Loe, said the number of nominations already received for this year’s awards proved there was enormous support for the Southern Highlands business community.
“It just goes to show that the efforts of local businesses are recognised and appreciated by their customers,” he said.
“People shouldn’t underestimate just how much simply being nominated for an award means to business people.
“Every finalist in the Local Business Awards receives a certificate, while category winners receive a trophy. It never fails to amaze me how proudly these businesses display their certificates and awards, with some even building cabinets and shelves.”
“Mr Loe said some had told him customers had chosen their business because they were award-winning businesses.
“This proves the important and positive impact that nominating a business for these awards can have.”
The awards are only possible thanks to the support of major sponsors, Hume Coal and NOVA Employment and support sponsors, Wingecarribee Shire Council, Boral Cement Berrima, Clifton Accountants and Flower Flower.
