Young athletes participated in activities such as long jump, high jump, shot put and discus.
Exeter Public School principal Andre Barnes said the students had the opportunity to meet their peers at the carnival.
“It’s a great opportunity for the small schools to get together,” Mr Barnes said.
“They’ll make new friends, which they’ll join on excursions in years five and six.”
Mr Barnes said small schools events were different from those put on by the larger schools.
“Small schools [events] always have a lot of support and a great sense of community,” he said.
“There’s lots of smiles at the end on the day.”
Students travelled from Tallong, Avoca, Berrima, Burrawang, Burrawang, Exeter, Glenquarry, Kangaloon, Penrose and Wingello.
