The win consolidated Yerrinbool’s third position on the men’s premier league ladder.
Yerrinbool got off to a dominant start and led 3-0 after just 20 minutes.
But Yerrinbool Black coach Rob Miller said his team’s intensity fell away from that point onward.
“I think we clocked off a bit mentally after those first 20 minutes,” he said.
“We started off quite strong but the intensity and the enthusiasm just wasn’t there,” he said.
Yerrinbool was able to hit the back twice more in the second half which pushed them to a 5-0 victory.
Despite this, Miller said it wasn’t a great game from Yerrinbool.
“It was a fairly flat performance across the parks so we definitely need to improve from that,” he said.
Miller said Yerrinbool Black wanted to push forward on the ladder as the season progressed.
“We’ve dropped two games this year but we are quite a competitive side and we are just need to play at the best of our ability irrespective of who we play,” he said.
Yerrinbool goal scorers: Trevor Dinham, Mark Butler, Ben Cosgrove, Matthew Hunt and Patrick Haynes.
