A man who allegedly claimed the Newstart Allowance, Job Search Allowance, disability support pension and the aged pension under two different names has appeared in court.

Peter Turner, 70, of Terara, pleaded not guilty to three counts of defrauding a Commonwealth Authority and two counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
Court documents alleged Turner also used the name Peter Richardson to gain various allowances on a number of occasions.
It is alleged between May 15, 1992 and May 27, 1993 he claimed Job Search Allowance under the name of Turner as well as Newstart under the name of Richardson.
Between May 8, 1993 and November 27, 1996 he allegedly claimed Newstart as both Turner and Richardson, while between November 28, 1996 and May 23, 2001 in Sydney he is alleged to have claimed a disability support pension as Turner and as Newstart Allowance as Richardson.
He also allegedly obtained financial advantage, claiming both the aged pension and Newstart as both Peter Turner and Peter Richardson.
He will reappear in court on August 21.
