Get ready to rock your best frock for a good cause.

The BDCU Children’s Foundation will hold a fundraiser on July 28.

While the foundation has held similar fundraisers in the past,  BDCU Children's Foundation vice president Ross Stone said this was the first Frock Up and Rock Up event.

It promises to be quite the event, with something to cater to all tastes.

There will be a raffle, silent auction, fortune tellers and a caricaturist.

Cartoonist Brendan Akhurst will sketch people as they come in.

One of the major prizes in the silent auction will be accommodation over New Year at Sydney Harbour.

There may also be a display by Ballroom Blitz owner Keith Nicholson and his wife Tiana Hope.

But one of the big drawcards will be a performance by the John Field Band.

“They’re entertainment in their own right,” Mr Stone said.

The money raised will go towards two main projects.

Mr Stone said the foundation continued to work to fund a mental health nurse at Bowral Hospital.

“We’re [also] raising money for some education forums that are going to be conducted in all the local secondary schools and a community forum in August,” he said.

“Those two things are the main focus.”

There will be plenty of delicious food on offer including an oyster station and grazing plates.

Frock Up and Rock Up will be held at Centennial Vineyards from 7pm.

Call Centennial Vineyards Restaurant on 4861 8701 to book by July 21.

Tickets will cost $120.

The BDCU Children’s Foundation was established in 2005 with the objective of raising $400,000 to provide equipment and enhanced facilities for the Children’s Ward at Bowral Hospital.

Since achieving this the committee’s focus has turned to providing education and a specialist clinician to bridge the gap between local professional service provision and community members and their families who are living with mental health concerns.
