Students from Kindergartern to Year 6 took to the stage in Hoskins Hall at Oxley College as they performed Phantom Tollbooth Jr over three days from June 14 to 16.
The play was described as an enormous success with lots of tired but extremely happy children when the final curtain fell.
Oxley College headmaster sang the praises of all involved in the production.
“It was a delight and a wonder to see all 203 Oxley kindergarten to Year 6 kids on stage singing, taking turns with lines and being so animated,” Mr Parker said.
“It is a wonderful experience for all of them. Will Brady was a great actor, singer, and trooper for holding the whole play together.
“But it was our K – 6 drama teacher, Mandy Bansgrove who was the real centre, with her trademark sense of fun, standards and inclusivity, that gave the play its beating heart.
“Thank you too to K – 6 music teacher, Dominic Lindsay, Ali Rapp, Melissa Hunter and their team of parents and everyone else who worked tirelessly on music, sets, front of house, costumes and more.”
