The session will assist Year 12 students prepare for the fast-approaching Higher School Certificate (HSC) exams, and is focused on the English Area of Study, ‘discovery’.
Larry Grumley, veteran HSC exam marker, study guide author and Head Teacher of English at Catherine McAuley College in Westmead will present the talk.
Council Children’s and Youth Services Librarian Trudy Eccleston said Mr Grumley was more than equipped for the job. “Larry brings over 25 years of experience teaching in both Australia and abroad,” she said. “He has a fantastic rapport with students and is able to explain things clearly and concisely.”
The talk will focus on the ways discovery is represented in texts and will outline exam requirements.
The free session will run from 2.00pm to 3.30pm on Tuesday, July 4 in the Henrietta Rose Room next to Bowral Library on Bendooley Street, Bowral.
