Mining rescission motion
Councillors Larry Whipper, Gordon Markwart and Ken Halstead will move to rescind a resolution made at the May 24 meeting about the proposed Hume Coal mind.
They wish to reverse the decision that a briefing session be held for councillors to consider preparing a Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement for the proposed Hume Coal Project as indicated by the NSW Planning Department.
If their motion is supported, they propose to wait for the outcome of the Planning Assessment Commission (PAC) on the Hume Coal Project. If at that point approval is granted by the PAC despite council’s submission, then council would consider an appropriate Planning Agreement.
Hurlingham Avenue
Councillors will vote on a section 96 modification application for the development consent at 24 Hurlingham Avenue, Burradoo, deferred from the May 24 meeting. The application seeks to enlarge the building envelope on one of the five lots in the development.
Chelsea Gardens/Coomungie
A report will be presented to council about correspondence from the Department of Planning and Environment related to Chelsea Gardens/Coomungie and the Wingecarribee Local Planning Strategy 2015-2031.
It has been recommended the correspondence be noted and the Demographics and Housing Advisory Committee look at the Local Planning Strategy related to managing housing needs – which has not been endorsed by the Department of Planning and Environment.
If supported a report would be brought back to council with options to address these concerns.
