The Fellowship of First Fleeters Southern Highlands Chapter will meet next on June 14. This meeting will be held at the Mittagong Community Centre on the corner of Albert Lane and Queen Street, Mittagong, from 10.30am. Entry is $5 which includes morning tea. The Southern Highlands Bereavement Care Service will hold its next bereavement walk on June 14 from 10am. The walk will begin at Bowral swimming pool car park and follow a path along Cherry Tree Walk followed by a catch up at a cafe of quiet place for further conversation. This is an opportunity for those who are bereaved to understand and embrace a caring, compassionate group. This activity funded by the Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme. Join a group of crafty characters for Worldwide Knit in Public Day at Wingello Mechanics Institute hall from 2pm to 4pm on June 17. Lovers of all textile crafts are welcome –  bring your knitting, crochet, spinning wheels etc and join in this great international event or simply have an enjoyable afternoon in the village.  There will be displays of knitwear, free basic knitting lessons, demonstrations of knitting without needles - just use your hands, ideas to recycle knitwear – all with pleasant background music and a Devonshire tea. Cost is $5 per person.
