The Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2017-2021 plan was developed in consultation with the community and represents a commitment from council to people with disability, and actions for improving opportunity and accessibility.
The plan explains four focus areas, being attitudes and behaviours, liveable communities, employment and systems and processes.
The draft plan will be on public exhibition from May 25 to June 7. Submissions must be made by 4pm, June 7 online at www.yoursaywingecarribee.com.au, by email to mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au, by phone on 4868 0801 or in writing to the general manager at Wingecarribee Shire Council, PO Box 141, Moss Vale, 2577.
A community feedback forum will be held on June 7 between 10.30am and 12.30pm in council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre Theatrette. RSVP by June 6 to Nicola Robson on 4868 0801 or email nicola.robson@wsc.nsw.gov.au.
All responses will be collated and included in a final report to be presented to council.
