The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal doorknock is May 27 and 28, and every cent collected in the Highlands will go back to the shire.
Salvation Southern Highlands Lieutenant Jake Horton said any donation would be valued.
“If everyone have $1, that’s more than we had yesterday,” he said.
“Sometimes, it’s about the small steps.”
If you have some free time, the appeal is also desperate for volunteers.
“All collectors will have an official 2017 receipt book and authorised name tags,” Lieutenant Horton said.
To volunteer, visit 418-420 Bong Bong St, Bowral, or go online: www.salvos.org.au.
