Alvaro was recently recognised for his continued success in his Bachelor of Construction Project Management Degree studies at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).
His impressive progress throughout his degree sparked the recognition of the university and he was awarded a University Blue.
A University Blue is the highest honour a university can award a student who is also an elite athlete.
After accepting his award, Alvaro took on a mentoring role of his own with the Parramatta Eels.
He recently accepted the position of Education Ambassador for the club.
Alvaro is a product of the National Youth Competition.
He commenced his NRL journey at the Broncos before returning back to Mittagong.
From there, the former Mittagong Lion progressed from the NYC ranks at the Eels to achieve his dream of an NRL contract.
