Several first grade players have been selected to play rugby league above the Highlands level.
New recruit Scott Plumridge has been selected in the Scotland Rugby League World Cup Training Squad for 2017.
Plumridge was voted the Scotland Rugby League Student Player of the Year for 2016 and received the Roy Kinnear Award.
The 20-year-old also excelled during the Student Four Nations in Edinburgh in 2016.
The Lions Blake Jeffrey has been selected in the Group 6 under-23s South West Razorbacks team.
The under-23 competition is a new addition to the Senior Men’s Country Championships.
The decision to increase the Senior Men’s Country Championships to under-23’s was made to allow for a greater number of players who don’t make the under-20’s to still have the opportunity to play a higher level of football and progress through the pathways.
The Lions have also announced the signing of new player Tom Connick.
Connick previously played a St Helens and is settling into the Highlands after spending time travelling with his partner.
