But it still needs help to make that dream a reality.
WADCC started an extension appeal in 2016 to help expand the Carribee Centre in Bowral.
Vice chair of WADCC Jenette Stiles said the goal was $300,000 and $200,000 was still needed to complete the project.
A fundraising evening will be held on June 2 for the extension appeal.
Coupe and the Roosters will perform at Mittagong RSL.
Tickets will cost $100 per person or $95 for a table of 10 and can be purchased at the RSL, online at mittagongrsl.com.au or call 4872 6700.
A two course meal with wine is included in the price of the ticket.
WADCC has operated within the Wingecarribee Shire for the past 30 years to support and empower older people who are socially isolated or living with dementia and their families and carers.
Two day care centres operate in Bowral and Moss Vale with an outreach service in Hill Top.
The number of people 65 years and over in the Highlands makes up more than a third of the shire’s population.
“As such, we continue to experience strong demand for our day centre services which provide a much-needed, local alternative to residential care,” Ms Stiles said.
There will also be a raffle and silent auction on the night of the fundraiser.
