Diann Benson competed in the archery at the World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand from April 21 to 30.
Benson won silver in three competition events, World Field, 1FFA field and Target Match play.
The Southern Highlands Archers club president’s efforts were recognised by her peers, who said she was an “excellent example of sportsmanship for the Highlands.”
More than 230 participants competed in the archery tournament with competitors divided in to the age groups of ten years: 30-39 40-49 etc up until the 70+ division.
Participants of all ages and abilities have been welcomed to check out the Southern Highlands Archers clubs.
Lessons for beginners are held every week in Berrima.
Seasoned Archers also have the opportunity to practise each week.
