James is a rugby league referee and has officiated in over 173 NRL games.
He started his refereeing career in Group 6 and will return to the competition on May 7.
James will come home to Group 6 on May 7 to referee the first grade match between Picton and Thirlmere.
It has always been on his bucket list to return to referee in Group 6 and with the NRL’s encouragement James will have the opportunity this weekend.
The NRL Referees have asked referees to return to their original associations to support grass roots rugby league and referees.
Ja,es was graded into the NSWRLRA in 2004 and had a NSWRLRA Number of 900
His first grand final in grade was in 2009, which was the last “Jim Beam” Cup Grand Final
His 100th NRL game was on 5th of April 2014, where the Penrith Panthers played the Canberra Raiders at Penrith.
The Picton v Thirlmere game will kick off at 3.00pm on May 7 at Victoria Park.
