The Southern Highlands Autumn Gardens weekend featured three town gardens and three country gardens over two days on April 22 and 23.
Organised by Southern Highland Botanic Gardens members, the gardens were clustered around Bowral, Burradoo, Wildes Meadow and Avoca.
A plant fair with more than 7000 rare and hard-to-find plants was also held.
Southern Highland Botanic Gardens chairman Charlotte Webb OAM said the weekend was a great success.
“We had a spectacular weeknd and we had bus loads of visitors not just to the gardens but also the fair.,” she said.
Ms Webb said there was increase in the number of visitors attending the botanic weekend.
“We are waiting on final numbers but we definitely saw an increase in visitors,” she said.
More than 170 people volunteered to help in the smooth-running of the event.
