A number of young girls will also hit the field on April 1 for the inaugural girls league tag competition for under-13s to under-16s.
The Bowral Kookaburras and Moss Vale Dragons are the only two teams in the Southern end of the new girls competition.
Camden, Picton and Thirlmere will also field teams in the new competition.
The Bowral girls will play against Moss Vale in round one of the first league tag competition.
The Bowral girls will under-14/16 team will play at 1.15pm at Community Oval.
Bowral has a full team but are still after a few more registrations.
The Bowral Kookaburras junior teams will kick off round one against Camden at Community Oval in Moss Vale on Saturday.
The under-6s and 7s will both play at 8.30am against Camden Blue.
The under-9s will play at 10am against Camden Blue, the under-10bs will play at 10.45am against Camden Red.
The under-11bs will play at 12.25pm against Camden Red and the Under-12as will play at 3.05pm against Camden.
Bowral Kookaburras are still taking registrations for all teams and age groups.
Interested players have been encouraged to come along to training on Wednesday at 4.30 to 5.30pm at the club’s home ground of Loseby Park in Bowral.
Registration Fees for age groups of under-6s to under-9s will be free for the 2017 season.
Registration Fees for under-10s to under-16s will cost $80 per player.
Fees for the league tag will be $40 for the season.
The Kookaburras have had a successful lead up to the season.
A number of players competed in the Bob Hall Cup trial games at Mittagong on March 25.
Bowral Kookaburras president Peter Howard said every team played very well.
“It will be great to see how all the teams and players develop over the next few weeks,” he said.
The club is dedicated to providing an opportunity for boys and girls to participate in rugby league with an emphasis placed on development, enjoyment and the principles of good sportsmanship.
