Boys and girls from schools across the Highlands played a number of matches at Loseby Park on Tuesday, March 14
The students in Years 5 and 6 once again took part in the fun-filled Wingecarribee AFL Paul Kelly Cup.
The large amount of rain on the previous night did little to dampen the students enthusiasm, although it did make for wet and muddy conditions in the games.
The Exeter Public School boys and girls played three games each during the day.
The boys first match was against St Paul's Moss Vale where they let go of a half time lead to lose 10-11.
Their second match against Bowral Public School was more successful, with the boys winning 28-0.
Unfortunately, the boys' final match against Tudor House was very one sided, with Tudor winning 41-0.
The girls' got off to a good start with a strong 24-11 victory over Moss Vale Public School. They followed this up with a strong win over Bowral. This left them with a final match against St Paul's Moss Vale. The winner of this match would in the day and qualify for the regional finals.
Despite their best efforts, the Exeter girls lost a hard fought encounter 11-0. Cooper Elmas and Olivia Lucey were voted Exeter's boys and girls player's players.
