The hard work of communal gardeners has paid off at the 2017 Moss Vale Show.

Moss Vale Community Garden members are thrilled to have been awarded the sash for ‘Most Successful Exhibitor for 2017 in Fruit Category’.

Member Jill Cockram said she believed the agricultural shows of the Highlands were fantastic opportunities for the community to display their backyard fruit and vegies.

“We are always pleased to support our local Moss Vale Show, and our reward is the thrill of seeing a blue or red ribbon with the Community Garden name draped across our produce,” she said.

“[It’s great to] see the amazing entries in the pavilion, not just from other backyard growers and farmers, but from our jam makers, craft workers, flower growers, photographers, artists and bakers.”

The Moss Vale Community Garden is open to members and visitors Mondays, 10.30am to 3.00pm, and Thursdays, 9.30am to 5.00pm.

The garden is located at Railway Street, Moss Vale, next to the tennis courts.
