Primary students Lachlan, Bodhi, Eden and Sarah have qualified for the South Coast PSSA State Swimming team.
This team will swim in the 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush in April this year.
This will be the sixth year that Avoca students have qualified for the state carnival in a relay team.
These students swam at the district and regional carnivals against other small schools to qualify for state competition.
Students have been training inside and outside of school hours and have set the goal of making it to finals at the state level.
This is a huge achievement for a small school with less than 20 students and the school said it was an exceptional achievement to have one of the teams make it to State for the sixth year.
The team reserve Laine will replace Bodhi in the State team due to family travels.
