The Holiday Rental Specialists, previously Highlands Holidays, was chosen as a finalist for the 2017 Australian Small Business of the Year awards.
Holiday Rental Specialist is a management and booking agency owned and operated by Martin Blencowe and Rebecca Cribbin.
The pair have lived and managed businesses in the Highlands for more than 15 years.
“We are extremely flattered to be recognised at a national level” Martin said.
“We started out with a handful of holiday properties in 2014 and a couple of staff. We now have offices in the Southern Highlands, Berry and Culburra Beach, and a large portfolio of properties stretching from Kiama to Jervis Bay and Kangaroo Valley to the Southern Highlands. More offices are likely to be opened in the next 12 months.”
Rebecca said it had taken plenty of hard work to get where they were now.
“It has been a great deal of hard work (and fun) getting to this point, and we have some excellent loyal staff who have made the difference in getting this far,” she said.
Our aim has been to transform the way in which our guests book their holidays, and how we manage our investors properties through the provision of exceptional service and innovative marketing. It must be working ok.”
The Southern Highlands business was recognised from more than 1400 entries.
The winners of the awards will be announced on April 1 in Sydney.
