The Moss Vale Show is back for another year, and there are plenty of new events and old favourites for everyone to explore.
Show secretary Hayley Rennie said this year’s show would be bigger and better than ever.
“For the first time in the Highlands we’re having the Isuzu Utes D-MAX team, our fireworks display is the biggest in the area and the demo derbies should be huge,” she said.
One new event that everyone is encouraged to enter is ‘Moss Vale’s Got Talent’, which will be held March 17 at 5.30pm.
“We wanted to give the public the opportunity to get involved with a fun event, and gives people the chance to perform in front of a crowd,” Ms Rennie said.
There’s also wife carrying, woodchop, pet show, teddy bears picnic and Princess Competition.
Revheads can get pumped for March 19, with the ute muster, ute barrel races and two demolition derbies.
You can also help fundraise for our local Burrumbuttock Hay Runners with Noah’s Pig Races.
“Noah's Pigs are little pigs that race through an obstacle course, and they do about 10 shows throughout the show,” Ms Rennie said.
“There is a calcutta held on each race and the money raised goes to charity - this year the show society will again be donating it to the Burrumbuttock Hay Run.”
Ms Rennie said everyone should come along for a family-orinetated, enjoyable weekend.
The show society gives every primary school student in the Highlands a free pass for entry on a day of their choice, and members get free entry.

“To make the event more budget-friendly, the show society gives every primary school student in the Highlands a free pass for entry on a day of their choice, and members get free entry,” she said.
“This gives the children the chance to see the hard work of their peers - whether that be in the pavilion, horses, cattle, poultry, the talent quest, etc.”
The show will be officially opened on March 18 at 1.00pm by NSW Police Force Commissioner Andrew Scipione. The Moss Vale Show will be held March 17, 18 and 19. Details: https://mossvaleshow.com.au/.
