Coffee and craft
Moss Vale CWA will hold its next coffee and craft morning on March 15.This will be held in the CWA rooms at 66 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale, next door to the fire station. Coffee and craft begins at 9.30am and involves lots of good fun, friendship and delicious morning tea. It finishes at about midday and all are welcome. Woodturners on show
Southern Highlands Woodies will exhibit and demonstrate the fine art of woodturning at the Moss Vale Show from March 17 to 19. Visitors are encouraged to watch some turning and talk to club members, especially if they are interested in joining the Southern Highlands Woodturners. The group meets regular at Charlton Hall, Charlotte Street, Burradoo.
Author talk
Friends of Wingecarribee Libraries will present the next author talk on March 21. This will be held in the Henriette Rose Room next to the Bowral Library from 10am. Guest speaker will be socio-political cartoonist Cathy Wilcox. She is best known for her cartoons in the Sydney Morning Herald. She has won two Walkley Awards and many national prizes for political cartoonists. Entry to the author talk is $10 for FOWL members and $15 for non-members. Morning tea will follow the talk and bookings are essential. Burning Palms trek
Southern Highlands Bushwalkers Inc will take part in an undulating trek from Otford to Burning Palms on March 19. They will cover about 13km with height variations of about 290m. Blood cancer education
The Bowral Blood Cancer Education and Support Group will meet on March 22. This will be held at the Southern Highlands Private Hospital from 10am until midday. The group is for those living with leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and related blood disorders. It is also open to the family of the people. Share experiences and exchange information in an informal, supportive and friendly environment.

Cancer support group
The Southern Highlands Cancer Centre Support Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month with the next meeting on March 23 at the conference room at Southern Highlands Private Hospital. The meeting begins at 10am and continues until 11.30am. Facilitator is Katie Moran. The group offers support to both past and present Southern Highlands Cancer Centre patients and their carers. There is a guest speaker at meetings held during even months and suggestions of topics are welcome. During the odd months patients and carers can meet less formally. RSVP is needed for catering purposes and can be made through Katie on 4862 9469.
