One option is Mini Muzos, held in the Salvation Army centre, Bowral. Children’s ministry assistant Amanda Holley said play groups were a great way to meet young and new families in the area.
“It’s good for the children to socialise, but it’s also good for the parents,” she said.
“They can find out what’s going on, increase their community – just have a chat and share their experiences. It also lets new mums and dads know they’re not the only ones who may be experiencing a problem or feeling.”
Activities are designed to teach skills for preschool, such as counting and fine motor skills, through singing, dancing and craft. Mini Muzos is held each Tuesday from 10am to 11.30am.
