The Wine Enthusiast 101 course has been created by Ten Thousand Paces Gallery owner Hamish Ta-me, and will be held each Wednesday night for five weeks.
“We get so many people come into the gallery and are a bit overwhelmed by the choices and flavours,” he said.
“Every session we will be cracking open around six bottles of wine – four local and two from other regions – and talking through how to taste, talk and consume wine.
The first workshop will be about wine appreciation on February 8 from 5.45pm. Each session will be facilitated by wine educator and writer Linda Lambrechts.
The course will run until March 5, and costs $120.
