A Moss Vale fundraiser to help disadvantaged people in the Philippines has raised $3400.

Ha Ha Hair’s Paul Stone organised the fundraiser at Tooses, Moss Vale, to help raise money for Hair Aid, a not-for-profit organisation which provides hair cutting training in the Philippines.

Mr Stone said the event was fantastic.

“About 50 people came, and I think everyone had a great day,” he said.

“Hair Aid co-founder Selina gave a moving talk on what the organisation does, and I’m very happy with how everything went.”

The money is enough to fund Mr Stone’s trip to the country, where he will spend a week teaching hairdressing skills to disadvantaged individuals.

He will also be able to take over extra resources to leave behind for the people.

There will be future fundraising events.
