The Bowral Kookaburras defeated the Bowral Cavaliers by a close 12 runs.
The Kookaburras won the toss and elected to bat first.
Samuel Maurice and Paul Harnisch made up the opening partnership and scored a combined total of 23 runs. Maurice only contributed one run to the total.
Andrew Robertson top scored with 33 runs.
By the end of their innings the Kookaburras scored a total of 136 runs off 35 overs.
Gregory Cruger took two catches in the field for the Cavaliers while Pete de Hosson took one.
Jake Pearse put on a strong bowling performance and took 2-26 off seven overs. Connor Gilmore also put on a good display and took 1-21 off 6 overs.
The Cavaliers batted next.
Andrew Macleod and Gregory Cruger made up the opening partnership and scored a combined total of 61 runs.
Cruger top scored and scored 60 of the 61 runs on his own.
Christopher Hayden also did well with the bat and scored 30 runs.
With their strong bowling and fielding the Kookaburras were able to restrict the Cavaliers to a total of 124 runs.
Angus FitzSimons took two catches for the Kookaburras while Simon Haire and Timothy Maurice took one each.
FitzSimons also bowled well with figures of 3-15 off seven overs, which included two maidens.
John Lindsay also put on a strong bowling display and took 2-20 off five overs.
After the round 10 match, the Cavaliers held fourth spot on the third grade leader board while the Kookaburras held fifth position.
Round 11 will be played on December 17 and will be the last round for 2016.
The Cavaliers will play Mittagong Roar at Taylor Avenue and the Kookaburras will have a bye.
In another third grade fixture Bundanoon defeated Hill Top Northern Villages by five wickets at Boronia Park.
Hill Top won the toss and elected to bat first.
Some strong bowling and fielding from Bundanoon restricted Hill Top’s total to 112 runs off 32.3 overs.
Darren Ward took 3-7 off 4.3 overs, which included one maiden. Clive Collier also demonstrated some strong bowling and took 7-17 off seven overs, which included two maidens.
Jake Whittington took one catch in the field for Bundanoon and Martin Filipczyk took two.
Bundanoon batted next and were able to chase Hill Top’s total down in just 19.4 overs.
Aidan Swanson top scored with 37 runs, followed by Brenden Hore with 16 runs.
After round 10, Bundanoon held top spot on the leader board while Hill Top were in eighth position.
