Peter Alexander is making his way around the country on a Christmas tour and stopped in the Highlands for a store visit and a quick bite at the patisserie.
Pyjama fans and dog lovers alike poured into the store with dachshunds, pomeranians and shopping spirit.
We caught up with the pyjama king and asked what he loved most about this part of the country side.
What about the Highlands appealed as a location for one of your stores?
Bowral is such a nice slice of country life, just an hour out of Sydney. I think a lot of Sydney siders are making the move here, to get away from the craziness of the city and have more space. It’s a great lifestyle here.
Have you spent much time here / what do you like best about the Southern Highlands?
As I’m based in Melbourne, I unfortunately don’t get to spend much time in the Southern Highlands. I’m sure I would if I lived in Sydney, my dogs would love it here!
It’s always go, go, go when I’m working, so I need to take time to disconnect and breathe in the fresh air. Walking through the national parks or even the Corbett Gardens is a great way to unwind.
I’ve got such a sweet tooth, so I can’t resist a stop at the patisserie on my way through Bowral!
What does Christmas mean to you?
I’m not a religious person so Christmas to me is about holidays, family, friends, food, presents and sleeping in!
What’s your advice to people who are struggling for gift ideas?
The best gifts are ones that make the recipient smile and they can see you have put some thought into it. Oh yes I highly recommend Peter Alexander pyjamas!
If you could pick one PA product to give as a gift this Christmas, what would it be?
My RSPCA Peter Alexander chocolate bars. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the charity, so it’s a win for everyone.
