A morning tea was held at the centre for International Day of Persons with Disabilities, where the 42 employees could show their family members their work.
Guests were given a tour of the centre to get an idea of the different areas people with disabilities can work in, such as office management, cleaning, rolling newspapers, making pallets, tending the chicken and document destruction.
Challenge Southern Highlands training and compliance coordinator Gloria Gilroy said she hoped the number of employees at the centre would grow with the roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Food was donated by Bakers Delight Mittagong, Grayco Foods Mittagong and Aldi Mittagong.
