Peter Coupland was social worker at the Southern Highlands Cancer Centre and after his unexpected death last year, a memorial fund was set up in his name to provide assistance for patients and residents when resources are low.
To honour Peter’s memory, and to keep his legacy going, a viewing of two gardens with Devonshire tea will take place at ‘Greyleaves’, Burradoo, on December 3 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
Organiser Naomi Bermingham said all proceeds from the event would go into the memorial fund.
“Peter’s philosophy was ‘heart to hand … we must do what we can with the resources available to benefit those around us in need’,” she said.
“His sudden passing was a great loss and it brought home to all who worked with him what a special and inspiring person he was.
“Staff colleagues at the Southern Highlands Private Hospital have taken the initiative to organise this event on Peter’s behalf.”
‘Greyleaves’ stretches across 3.25 acres, and features a wisteria-covered bridge and fountain across a pond, large pine, oak, maple and poplar trees, garden rooms, small orchard, ambling woodland and plants which reflect a cottage garden theme.
The property is located at 13-15 Greyleaves Avenue, Burradoo.
