The accident is affecting traffic in both directions.
The truck flipped about 1pm in the northbound lanes, a short distance from Bush Bank B&B. It landed on the concrete jersey barrier and spilled feed onto the southbound lanes.
Fire and Rescue NSW has requested assistance from Kiama Council in clearing the roadway.
Both southbound lanes were earlier closed; one lane is now open in each direction.
The truck driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene.
He was uninjured in the crash and does not require hospitalisation.
Traffic to the area remains heavy and slow-moving as at 2pm. Southbound traffic is most affected. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Authorities are planning to close the Princes Highway at the Bends from 7pm Thursday to complete the recovery operation, and repair the jersey barrier.
