Festivities were afoot at Exeter Public School on October 22 to celebrate the school’s 125th birthday.

A traditional maypole dance was performed and stories were shared to commemorate the occasion.
The school’s old sports shed was recently converted into a kitchen to compliment the school’s vegetable patch.
The school also has a Bookworms Reading Program, Year 5 and 6 recorder ensemble which performed at the Opera House earlier this year, debate teams, choir and chess club.
Interest groups are held each week, which include pen pals, web design, origami, Ninja Warrior, Spanish lessons and guitar.
There are currently 117 students at the school.
