Bundanoon Lodge was again named as the top ranked accommodation in the Southern Highlands in the trivago Awards 2017.
It was also ranked fourth in NSW and 12th in Australia.
The owners bought Bundanoon Lodge in 2011 after it had been empty and in a state of disrepair for six years.
From October 31, new owner Ruth Moncrieff will take over from the Corins, who said they were proud of what they had achieved over the past few years.
“We are so appreciative that we have received this award for the third year in a row,” they said.
“It is because we have such wonderful guests that keep coming back to us and giving us such good reviews. Without them this award would not be possible.
“We both like dealing with people and do our best to make it an enjoyable stay for everyone. We try to guide them to make the most of what the Highlands has to offer.”
The lodge is surrounded by 1.5 acres of gardens with an abundance of birdlife for guests to enjoy.
Each year, trivago analyses aggregated ratings and reviews of hotels across Australia to find which hotels have the best ratings from travellers.
The awards are based on 175 million ratings from more than 250 booking sites worldwide.
Only hotels or accommodation featured on trivago with more than 300 reviews are included in the trivago awards.
The Corins said the award was a nice “farewell gift” before they move to Lorne where they will run a small farm stay.
“It [Bundanoon Lodge] will continue to operate like it has been in the past as she has very similar values and style like ours.”
